Hirschfeld drew more covers for TV Guide than any other artist beginning in the 1950s. In the 1960s, in addition to covers, Hirschfeld supplied dozens of drawings for the magazine's reviews of the latest television shows including Star Trek, The Fugitive, That Girl, Mission Impossible and many more. This was the only time, despite films, tv shows, animated films and a Broadway musical, that Hirschfeld the Edgar Rice Burroughs' iconic character Tarzan.
