Condition Report*:
Unlined canvas. Vertical stretcher bar mark faintly visible at center under raking light. Minor frame abrasion at left edge. Slight yellowing to the varnish layer. A cluster of small dots of loss to an area of thick impasto on the cottage wall in the upper right quadrant. Finely patterned craquelure. Very mild surface dirt and dust. Not examined out of frame due to size.
Under UV: heavily applied varnish fluoresces green unevenly and appears to have been selectively removed in some areas. Apparent brushy strengthening applied to some of the reddish-brown pigments on the cottages. Some scattered dots and dashes of finely applied retouching throughout to address craquelure.
