Condition Report*:
Unlined canvas with Veuve de Saint-Martin et frère supplier's mark. A 1x2 inch patch applied to reverse of canvas in lower left quadrant. Stretcher bar marks faintly visible near edges and vertically at center under raking light. Some yellowing to the varnish layer. Faint, finely patterned craquelure. A horizontal repaired tear, approximately 1-inch in length to the apron of the rightmost man, corresponding with location of patch on reverse. Mild surface dirt and dust. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. Brushy retouching to the background to the the right of the woman's skirt. Small dots and dashes of more finely applied retouching scattered throughout.
