The artist;
Mr. and Mrs. Vernie Anderson, McPherson, Kansas, commissioned from the above;
American Legacy Gallery, Kansas City, Missouri;
Acquired by the present owner from the above, circa 2001.
Mr. and Mrs. Vernie Anderson of McPherson, Kansas commissioned this work to hang in the home of Mrs. Vernon's parents. They also commissioned five other, smaller works: four for each of their daughters (20 x 24 inches); and one for their own home (36 x 48 inches).
We wish to thank Cori Sherman North, Curator of the Birger Sandzén Memorial Gallery, Lindsborg, Kansas, for her invaluable cataloguing assistance. This painting is recorded as #2260 in the Sandzén card catalogue of the Birger Sandzén Memorial Gallery.

Condition Report*:
Under UV exam, there there does not appear to be inpaint. 10 inch faint scuff in the tallest tree left of center. A smaller hairline scuff in the foliage in the upper left quadrant. Pinholes along the extreme edges of the masonite with accompanying abrasions on the reverse.
