Traveling Compound Monocular Microscope. Zeiss Model LrO. "Carl Zeiss Jena Nr. 276895"
Fine and coarse focus, fixed stage, 1.2 n.a. condenser with iris diaphragm and swing-out filter
is adjustable on rack and pinion. Stage clips, mechanical stage signed, "Carl Zeiss Jena Nr. 63076".
Oculars: 5x, 7x with 0-50 graticule, 10x, 15x "Mobimi", all signed "Carl Zeiss Jena", 12x "Winkel-
Zeiss Gottingen". Objectives on a triple nosepiece all signed, "Carl Zeiss Jena": " 8 0.20 235240", "40 0.65 0.17 229820", "HI 90 1.25 161437 Germany". 5 cm plano/convex mirror, leveling screw in foot, leather pouch holds a dissecting kit. Fitted oak case with nickel plated fittings. Brochure Mikro 513e. Blue filter, original box of 18x18mm coverslips, some blank slides and metal cannister with spring-loaded glass bottle for immersion oil signed, "Immers-Oel"., Cornet forceps (to hold cover glass; George Cornet, German Bacteriologist, 1858-1915) and vasoline canister.
Condition Report*:
Exterior likely refinished, handle with some dry rotting, some wear to lacquering, felt likely replaced, with wear commensurate with age and use. Optics not guaranteed.
