An August 12, 1975 signed letter from Norman Rockwell to Donald Walton reads, "Dear Don: Thank you for sending me the copy of the Franklin Mint Almanac and the article about Mark Twain. It was very thoughtful of you. Kindest regards, Sincerely, Norman."
A group of five black and white reference photos of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn poses and a promotional flyer for the series are also included in this lot. Please note that a partial page of the flyer is missing.

As the Franklin Mint pointed out in one of its promotional pieces, "Although many of Rockwell's paintings convey a heart-tugging poignancy, most of them are touched with humor. They generally reflect the high points of American history."
