Not only does this Tourmaline crystal have excellent gemminess, the color saturation and zoning is nothing short of exceptional. When backlit, alternating layers of green and rose red become especially apparent, with the red zones concentrated near the tip and tracing the crystal's outer faces; subtle tinges of yellow are isolated throughout the center-most portions of the specimen. Along with an intense glassy luster, the sides of the specimen are lined with vertical striations and a well-formed parallel growth. This piece is in excellent condition with some minor chatter on a few edges.
