This specimen of Epidote on Calcite has a landscape-like quality, with bushels of acicular Epidote bursting from a horizontal matrix of vitreous, semi-transparent Calcite crystals. The Epidote clusters themselves are nicely isolated, with the focal point in the center being a strongly lustrous explosion of this ubiquitous green mineral. In fact, with just a little lighting, the deep hue of the Epidote pops with flashes of olive. The calcite crystals themselves are a lovely contrasting accent. The specimen is in fantastic condition, with nearly all terminations and crystals perfectly intact and gleaming, and no repairs to be found. This Epidote piece comes with a custom engraved acrylic base.
