Paa Joe has been creating caskets from his wood sculptures, known as abeduu adeka. For the Ga people, these coffins play a vital role in ensuring the safe journey of the deceased to the afterlife and are a longstanding family tradition. This was a commissioned work highly personalized to the previous owner.
