Description
Petrified Conifer SlabAraucaria
Triassic
Chinle Formation
Paulsell Ranch, Holbrook, Arizona, USA
This is a bona fide, major slab of "rainbow" Petrified Wood from the famed Chinle Formation of Arizona. The piece measures an amazing 24 inches (61 cm) at its maximum diameter and showcases tremendous colors. The primary hue is a warm rusty orange accentuated with highlights of wine magenta towards its center and contrasting pure black on the edge. This relatively thick slab is ideal for use as a tabletop or a decorative specimen. The combination of size and quality of this Triassic fossil makes this a valuable and collectible round slab. The mix of vivid colors in patterns results in a top representation of such material. The ancient conifer slab was unearthed from the Paulsell Ranch quite well-known for its Petrified Wood.
Overall Measurements: 24.02 x 20.47 x 1.57 inches (61.00 x 52.00 x 4.00 cm)
