Condition Report*: An exceptional example of one of Demetre Chiparus's most well-known works, featuring highly intact original gilding and cold-painting, applied with astonishing precision. Minor rubbing and one faint scuff to the back of the figure's leg. The figure stands atop a marble base with a plaque that reads 1 de CATÉGORIE / COUPE GEORGES BOILLOT / BOULOGNE-SUR-MER / 1927, indicating that the work was exhibited at the event in 1927.
