This classic Black Opal from Lightning Ridge in Australia offers blue and green coloration over its oval form. The arresting offering has an oceanic pattern to its colorful surface. The oval cabochon weighs 3.37 carats and exhibits a good polish and fire on both sides. Nothing really compares to a Black Opal from Australia. There is some visible crazing, but the fish-scale play-of-color is outstanding and detracts from the slight cracking.
