Description

Fossil Crinoids
Actinocrinites gibsoni, Scytalocrinus decadactylus & Agaricocrinus americanus
Mississippian
Edwardsville Formation
Montgomery County, Indiana, USA
3.15 x 3.15 x 0.91 inches (8.01 x 8.00 x 2.30 cm)

This expertly prepared invertebrate fossil consists of multiple Crinoids on a sedimentary matrix. The mix of crowns representing the Actinocrinites, Scytalocrinus, and Agaricocrinus varieties is extremely intense and quite dramatic, especially for a smaller plate. The quality and variety presented here are quite superb.
