Out of the iconic, Fox Hills Formation, this Ammonite of the Discoscaphites variety is a blend of brownish and sutured preserved shell, along with sections of pinkish-white preserved nacre. The cephalopod fossil is nicely situated on classic, gray rock. The shell exhibits surface fractures and 'bumps' near its periphery.
