Self-taught painter, muralist, and commercial artist, A.D. Greer lived in New York City and Austin, Texas. A traditional painter of Western landscapes and still-lifes, Greer's luminist, romantic style was influenced by Robert Wood, V. A. Richardson, Thomas Moran, Albert Bierstadt, and Frederick Church.

Condition Report*: Stretcher creases visible; craquelure throughout composition, mainly visible in lighter areas.  Framed to an overall size of 28 x 35 inches.
