Bold and brightly patterned, this sizable oval cabochon of "Bumblebee" Jasper displays dramatic layers of golden yellow, burnt orange, and smoky gray. The alternating bands create a vibrant, volcanic palette with painterly contrast. Sourced from volcanic vents in Indonesia, the stone is technically a mix of Sulfur, Calcite, and Hematite. The gem's elongated pear shape and high polish give it a jewelry-like presence, although the stone is too large for most jewelry applications.
