Description

Woolly Mammoth Tusk Rounds
Mammuthus primigenius
Pleistocene
Alaska, USA
5.39 x 4.23 x 0.51 inches (13.69 x 10.74 x 1.29 cm)

Looking somewhat like a slab of Petrified Wood, this natural disk is a slab of a Woolly Mammoth Tusk. The round has a light and creamy coloration with a definitive bark-like rind. The captivating interior is accented by a dark black filler surrounding the separated pieces of tusk. This intriguing piece, to put it mildly, consists of top-quality material from Alaska that would certainly make a fascinating addition for any collection.
