This interesting Lot is a two-for-one and somewhat of a rough-and-cut offering. The Ametrine gemstone is the star of the duo as it is a huge example of the coveted material out of Bolivia. The gemstone features an emerald cut highlighting the distinct color-zoning which is expected for the variety. There are two distinct purple zones and a singular, rich golden zone. The purple hue comes to life when the stone is moved and viewed. The large faceted stone is eye-clean with an excellent polish and only two small nicks on the pavilion. The rough specimen is of an Amethyst crystal showing deep, rich purple coloration. The set shows off what Mother Nature can accomplish.
