Three Knowles & Ladd Queen Pattern Partial Gilt Silver Ladles, Providence, Rhode Island, circa 1870

The set of ladles identical in form, gilt washed bowls with satin finish, chasework to rim and bowl, chasework near stem extraordinarily mimicking pear-cut diamonds, raised rib extending length of stem, handle with berries and leaves in high relief, terminating with scrollwork and four amplified circles, each handle engraved J.A. to J.R. to obverse and Dec. 25th 1874 to reverse.
