William Robert Thrasher was a self-taught artist who was raised on a farm. Any extra time or money was spent invested towards his passion for painting. After the death of his father during the depression, Thrasher began to sell his paintings to make means meet. Quickly, his artwork was scattered throughout Lamar County and the greater area.
