"Gem" Dinosaur Bone Cabochon Set of 10 - 186.57 TCW

A striking set of ten cabochons cut from agatized Dinosaur Bone, exhibiting a vivid palette of reds, ochres, blues, and grays-colors created by trace minerals replacing the original bone structure over millions of years. The intricate cellular patterns characteristic of fossilized bone are visible in each cabochon, producing a uniquely organic mosaic effect.

The set comprises the following stones:
Oval, 11.36 cts; Oval, 23.64 cts; Oval, 19.31 cts; Cushion, 11.97 cts; Oval, 8.27 cts; Oval, 9.17 cts; Oval, 22.91 cts; Oval, 16.14 cts; Oval, 19.57 cts; and Elongated Oval, 44.23 cts - totaling 186.57 carats. The largest cabochon measures 43.31 x 17.20 x 6.87 mm.

A superb suite of gem-grade dinosaur bone, skillfully polished and displaying the exceptional color and pattern for which material from the Morrison Formation is prized.
