Unlike so much material from the famous Sikhote-Alin Meteorite, which is in the form of fragmentary pieces known as "shrapnel" resulting from the violent fragmentation associated with that bolide, this example from the witnessed fall of 1947 in Siberia, Russia, is a complete individual specimen. With an impressive weight of 358 grams, this is a highly aesthetic and supremely collectible representation of a truly iconic Iron. Exquisite shape, sharp edges, intense regmaglypts, rich gunmetal coloration, and nice size all accurately describe this collector-grade offering. This is a nearly perfect example of Sikhote-Alin.
