This impressive 4.05-carat stone is a Yellow Sapphire. Sourced from one of the top localities for the variety, modern-day Sri Lanka, the Ceylon Yellow Sapphire displays a rich yellow hue and chic cushion shape. The stone has been expertly cut and faceted with mixed faceting, as the crown displays modified brilliant facets, and the pavilion exhibits step facets. The color is well-balanced, along with an excellent polish and proportions. The stone displays excellent brilliance and intense scintillation. The stone is only very slightly included, with a minute fingerprint barely visible under the table. Overall, the gem is in very good condition with normal nicks to the culet and pavilion facet junctions. There are a couple of minuscule cavities on the pavilion that are visible when viewed under magnification. The dazzler is accompanied by a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) report stating no indications of heat.
