Native Copper is an iconic American mineral and metal; this fine example hails from one of the top localities for the type - Michigan. This highly decorative slab features metallic Copper crystals intermixed with natural host matrix - green Epidote, pockets of white Quartz, black Basalt veins, and red conglomerate rock comprise the remaining minerals on this visually striking plate. The thick and organic-shaped offering has been polished to enhance the attractive color variation on the main display face, and a clear epoxy coating has been applied for stabilization. The pattern and color combination is truly awe-inspiring, and this is an exemplary example of classic material. This is a massive example of the variety, which measures over 20 inches (51 cm) in length.
