This roughly triangularly shaped piece of Amber from the Dominican Republic has a soft yellowish color and is tremendously clear. The polished example of fossilized tree resin is home to two Hymenoptera ants with wings and a Psocoptera barklouse. The inhabitants of this "heart-shaped" specimen are small, but they exhibit nice detail and seem to be at work in this ancient snapshot. Quality pieces of Amber with a great assortment of insect inclusions are uncommon and prized, and this one is certainly no exception.
