First found in 1991 or 1992, the Vyatka Meteorite, known as "Kaigorod" in Russia, represents an H4 Chondrite with a deep black matrix and a wealth of smaller bright nickel-iron flecks. Weighing 307.9 grams, this slice from the single known mass of Vyatka is simply amazing, with a reflective polish and bonus of two finished sides. The thick slab is quite sizable and very intense. A small notch protrudes from between the two polished faces and is visible on both sides. The elongated thick slab is a dark grayish coloration with a metallic aspect. This 'dual threat' meteorite has two names and two faces.
Measurements: 6.77 x 3.32 x 0.33 inches (17.20 x 8.43 x 0.83 cm), weighs 307.9 grams
