The Calliham is another meteorite from Texas, but this variety is very rare, and this slice of the L5 (now recommended L6) Chondrite weighing 93.8 grams is from the Dr. Elbert King Collection. Dr. King lived in Houston, worked for NASA, and was an important meteorite scientist with a particular affinity for Texas meteorites which were well represented in his collection. Found in 1958, the Calliham Meteorite is not commonly seen for sale, and Geoff Notkin acquired this slice directly from the King Estate in the 1990s. The slab has an amazing shape with darker coloration, thick rind, and incomplete saw edges on the back.
Measurements: 6.50 x 2.17 x 0.25 inches (16.50 x 5.51 x 0.63 cm), weighs 93.8 grams
