This large and curvaceous tooth from a Spinosaurus is impressive if for no other reason than its size. The somewhat conical tooth has a slightly two-toned cusp which could be an indication of restoration, but it does not appear to have been in separate pieces. The tip of the big tooth has a striated patterning which is not typical for the variety but may just be an anomaly. There looks to be considerable restoration on the tooth but the majority of the repairs appear to involve the root cavity which was likely put back together with sediment and material from the environment where it was found. This meat-eating Dinosaur was a huge beast and dominant predator of its ecosystem. While this variety of fossil teeth has been coming out of Morocco for years in all shapes and sizes, a specimen this large and in good condition is a rarity.
