A magnificent Iron meteorite slice, regardless of variety, this glorious metallic slab represents the important and coveted Saint-Aubin, known as the "Champagne of French Meteorites," which was found in France in 1968. With an incredible shape and exceptional Widmanstätten pattern over its etched faces, this solid slice weighing 109.6 grams is an absolute treasure. What makes this even more compelling is the presence of several rare Schreibersite "needles" with a 'mirror-like' finish. This Phosphide mineral is only known on Earth in Greenland, with all other occurrences restricted to meteorites, bringing it here from Outer Space. Measuring 4.25 inches (10.8 cm) on the diagonal, the incomparable specimen - spectacular on both sides - is pristine and the ideal display offering. Once considered an ungrouped Iron, Saint-Aubin now holds a designation of Iron, IIIAB, meteorite.
