Dan's collection held in it a niche focus on sulphide minerals, and this combination specimen is an excellent example that shows ample quantities of the rare lead-antimony sulphide Semseyite. The Semseyite is actually arranged in neat fan-shaped clusters scattered across the front side of the specimen. While the Semseyite has a lighter grey color and gentle metallic luster, closely associated crystals of Sphalerite are black in color but very flashy with a powerful vitreous luster; other associations of tannish-grey Marcasite spheres and (not surprisingly) Galena are present. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
