This 3+ carat Red Spinel has an attractive orangey-red hue. Spinels are fast becoming a notable stone and were even mounted in the Crown Jewels as they were thought to be rubies. This "cinnamon" colored stone is stunning and it is easy to see why the variety is popular due to the rich coloration and scintillation present. This Spinel has been expertly cut into a cushion shape with a brilliant cut crown and a step cut pavilion. There are some visible inclusions, but, otherwise, the stone is in excellent condition.
Measurements: 8.34 x 7.75 x 6.24 mm, 3.20 cts.
