The War of the Worlds Archive

This postcard was written by H.G. Wells to Henrique Alvim Corrêa, the illustrator for the Belgium edition of Well's classic science fiction novel The War of the Worlds.

The letter reads as follows: "My dear Correa, / The champagnes met with the warmest approval. / Very glad indeed you like my Moon Men. / Your et., / H.G. Wells"

By descent through the family of the artist, Brazil;
Acquired by the present owner from the above, 1990.
