A Yoruba Gelede Mask of a Woman Wearing a Loosely Wrapped Head Tie

Wood carved and painted to be an appealing portrait of a woman wearing a large head scarf. It features a serene, stylized female face with almond-shaped eyes, a slight smile, and facial markings. Her calm expression reflects dignity and respect, and her large head scarf indicates prosperity and wealth. In fair condition, a large piece missing from her proper left chin. With a metal stand.
