A Striking Nazca Polychrome Bridge Spout Vessel
Peru, Early Intermediate Period, circa 100-600 AD

This is a small gem-like vessel, painted with a bright precision by a master artist. The upper portion is painted with interlocking snakes in white and red-brown; the bottom has a repeated face of a young person. In very good condition, small scratch and paint loss one side of the upper portion; small spot of surface loss on one side of the bottom.
