This work is registered in Jacques Martin-Ferrières' manuscript list as 329 FL (fleurs). Behind the bed of petunias and marigolds is the stone wall separating the artist's garden in Neuilly-sur-Seine, no. 105, from the neighboring garden at no. 103.

Condition Report*:
Unlined canvas. Slight buckling to the canvas in the corners. Craquelure, most visible on areas of thick impasto. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: no apparent retouching. Some modern pigments fluoresce, commensurate with age.
