Condition Report*:
Original canvas. Rich impasto in very well-preserved condition. Older varnish and some surface accretions. Under UV examination the varnish shows as very uneven with unvarnished areas and varnished areas. A 2 inch x 1-1 /2 inch patch on the figure's neck/shoulder fluoresching under UV does not appear to be restoration but rather due to an artist's reworking. The brushwork there is fully consistent with the rest of the handling. No evidence of restoration. Framed Dimensions 27.875 X 24.25 Inches
