Three American Phonograph Machines, early 20th century
15-1/2 inches high x 19-1/2 inches wide x 15 inches deep (39.4 x 49.5 x 38.1 cm) (largest)
The lot comprising:
1 An Edison "Gem" Phonograph Model B circa 1907 with open works, crank wound in a wood case with decal. The patent plate shows Serial Number G181146 and patent dates from May 8, 1888 through November 17, 1903;
1 A Columbia Phonograph Co. "Mignon" Graphophone circa 1900 with open works, key wound in a wood case with decal. The patent plate reads "Columbia Phonograph Co., New York - London - Paris - Berlin" with patent dates May 4, 1886 through March 20, 1897;
1 An Edison "Amberola" Model 50 Phonograph circa 1915 with open works, crank wound in a wood case with decal. The patent plate shows Serial Number SM - - 11407 and patent dates from November 17, 1903 through March 11, 1913. A Blue Amberol Record cylinder is included patent number 1547 titled "Silver Threads Among the Gold" by Oakland;
1 Brass phonograph horn;
1 An Edison Blue Amberol Record cylinder patent number 4020 entitled "Bo-La-Bo Egyptian Fox Trot" by Lopez and Hamilton's Orchestra;
1 An Edison Blue Amberol Record cylinder patent number 5200 entitled "Sinking of the Titanic" by E. V. Stoneman;
1 An Edison Gold Moulded Records cylinder patent number 9339 entitled "The Bull Frog and the Coon".


Condition Report*: There is a small hole in the silk lining of the speaker baffle of the Edison Amberola Model 50 phonograph. Heritage does not guarantee the working order or completeness of mechanisms.
