Description
A Four-Piece John, Henry & Charles Lias Silver Tea and Coffee Service with Acorn Motif, London, England, circa 1831Marks: (lion passant), (leopard), (duty mark), q, IH/HL/CL
9-1/4 inches high (23.5 cm) (tallest, coffee pot)
74.56 troy ounces
Comprising coffee pot, teapot, open sugar, and open creamer, each decorated with foliate and acorn motif .
Condition Report*:
Errant pin dents, cartouches with various engravings, teapot lid almost sits flush, a few bases slightly out of round, light push to sugar standard, age-related cracking to insulators, coffee pot joint at handle with possible old repair, some resin leaching near insulator mounts, light warping to coffee pot lid, presenting well with wear commensurate with age, polishing, and use.
