A Chamberlain's Worcester Partial Gilt Salmon-Ground Porcelain Entrée Dish with Cover, England, circa 1800Marks: Chamberlain's Worcester

PROVENANCE:
Collection of Leo and Doris Hodroff;
Christie's, New York, Important European Furniture, Works of Art, Ceramics, Carpets, And Glass, May 20, 2008, lot 57.
The porcelain entrée dish with cover, of shaped oval form, the cover painted front and back with the Newton crest of a blackamoor kneeling on a red striped baton, reserved on a wide border gilt with trellis within a band of paterae and rinceau scrolls.
Condition Report*:
Overall good condition and presentation, with small chip to inside edge of cover with refreshed gilding, age-related crazing to glaze, and minor rubbing to gilding.
