Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Central Tennessee District, Smith Co., Tennessee, USA
Large golden scalenohedrons of Calcite on silicified limestone matrix with excellent luster and fine condition. There is a small Barite ball on the bottom, and the Calcites are transparent and glassy with coloration that grades from colorless to bright golden yellow at the terminations. Measuring 4 ½ x 5 ¼ x 5 ½ inches, this specimen is in pristine, undamaged condition. Accompanied with a custom labeled base. Ex George Feist collection.
