From Ohio, which is certainly not thought of as a bastion for Petrified Wood, comes this unique piece of Petrified Tree Fern. The example of Psaronius has a mix of brown and black hues over its saturated face with a bit of an "eyes" patterning as two splotches of jet black are surrounded by patches of a brownish hues which display organic growth forms consistent with a fern classification. This slab measures nearly 11 inches (28 cm) at the maximum dimension. The rich, earthy tones of this polished slab are attractive.
