In 2018-2019, mineral collectors were surprised to see an emergence of beautiful, and stunningly unique Fluorite specimens filtering out from the Chifeng and Yindu areas of China. The hallmark of these specimens is the intense phantom patterns that are encased within the cubic crystals: this specimen is loaded with them! Every cube on this nicely-shaped plate has a sky-blue base, with inky purple coloration in each of the corners, then a sharp cubic phantom in the center with deeper purple corners and finally, a golden core. This color progression and intensity is unique to this find, and no other locality has a coloration quite like this. These cubes, with the largest being 12 mm wide, are scattered nicely across the Muscovite backdrop. These cubes are in very good condition, with only one 'chattered' edge and only small cleavages on some corners.
