Description

Dinosaur Coprolite
Jurassic
Morrison Formation
Utah, USA

This cut and polished "half" of a nodule represents a Coprolite, or fossilized feces. The bona fide trace fossil is likely the product of the process of desiccation which has resulted in preservation of such soft materials. This specimen has a smooth window face which reveals a solid, colorful, and intricate core, with hues of taupe, olive and blue. The irregular shape and rugged exterior make this piece excellent. The form measures a robust 7 inches (18 cm) and really looks the part of what Dinosaur Dung should.
Overall Measurements: 7.09 x 3.94 x 2.56 inches (18.00 x 10.00 x 6.50 cm)
