A Spanish Oak Chest, 16th century

The Estate of George Terasaki, October 27, 2011;
Acquired from the above by current owner.

Property from the Collection of Frederick H. Schrader, Napa Valley

Condition Report*: With wear commensurate with age, including surface scratches, scattered holes, and stable splits to the lid; losses most evident along the edges. Some joints with loose elements. Exterior shows scuffs, surface wear, and wormholes throughout. Original interior retains most hardware, with a small gap noted at the bottom rear. The front panel displays two splits extending toward the center, measuring approximately 16-1/4 in. and 8-1/2 in. Scattered losses and heavy worming to the feet.
