William Henry Dethlef Koerner was a prominent American illustrator known for his vivid depictions of the American West, contributing artwork to magazines such as The Saturday Evening Post. Born in 1878 in Germany and raised in Iowa, Koerner created more than 2,000 illustrations during his career, shaping the popular visual narrative of frontier life.
