What more can be said about Cher? She is an award-winning actress, singer, philanthropist, fashion icon, and fierce supporter of LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS rights. From her early days as one-half of the folk/rock group Sonny & Cher, to her solo variety show donning iconic Bob Mackie fashions, to her breakthrough - and Academy Award-nominated - performance in the 1983 film Silkwood, Cher has cemented herself as a living legend. She has appeared on Broadway only once, in 1982's Come Back to the Five & Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean but served as a producer on the story of her own life, The Cher Show, at the Neil Simon Theatre.

Cher has earned critical acclaim as a dramatic actress in films such as Mask and Moonstruck, for which she won the Academy Award, as well as a gut-busting comedienne with her hilarious portrayal of herself on Will & Grace. As a singer, Cher has sold more than 100 million albums, making her one of the best-selling recording artists of all time. She is well known for her singles, "If I Could Turn Back Time," "Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves," "Dark Lady," and "Believe," and for several years was the female vocalist with the most number-one singles in history. She is the only artist to date to have a number-one single on the Billboard charts in six consecutive decades.
