The present work is published as a Gerlach-Barklow calendar and appears on page 200 of Vintage Illustration: Discovering America's Calendar Artists 1900-1960 by Rick & Charlotte Martin (Collectors Press, 1997). There are numerous examples of original Heibel pastel with misspelled signatures, presumably from the same calendar company printing draftsman who added her signature to completed works for printing purposes.
