Distinguished by its bladed, botryoidal crystal formation, this excellent small cabinet specimen of Azurite exhibits the classic aesthetic and structural qualities associated with minerals from one of the most historically significant Copper mining regions in the United States. The specimen forms a mounded aggregation of intergrown crystals, whose lustrous, layered surfaces reflect light with subtle metallic brilliance. Its sculptural quality and well-balanced form make it both scientifically interesting and visually appealing. Accompanied by a custom-engraved acrylic base, this is a fine and representative example of mineralogy from America's legendary Copper districts-a piece of both geological and industrial heritage, prized by collectors for the combination of form, texture, and provenance.
