This highly-desirable spherical red Fluorite is presented on robust Calcite scalenohedrons, with the Fluorite spheres ranging up to 0.9 centimeters in diameter. The growth of the Fluorite is mainly epitaxial, but there are a few small Fluorite inclusions in the Calcite. The Calcite is detailed with sharp surface textures that nicely accent the vitreous luster. The opaque red Fluorite creates a striking contrast against the transparent white interior of the Calcite. The Fluorites speckle just about every side of this specimen, giving the piece a near-360-degree view.
