Fluorite from the Blanchard Mine is distributed across the front of this specimen as a dense covering of sharply formed cubic crystals reaching up to 1.0 centimeter on edge. Each cube has frosted crystal faces with a transparent interior and a pale blue color that is subtly intensified by slightly richer zoning along the edges. Much of the remaining matrix, on both the front and back sides, is coated with a sparkling druse of smaller Fluorite cubes that are lighter in color to nearly colorless, adding visual continuity across the piece.
